Since the Inktober of 2017, I’ve been taking prompts from these types of drawing challenges and weaving them into stories featuring my versions of many comic book and other pop culture characters. This time I’m doing something different. This time I’m doing a fan fiction alternative story for Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi. I had the basic idea for this years ago but I just kept thinking “why bother”. Now I’m like “what the hell”. The original title I had for this was “The Perfect Vessel Unveiled” but literally today I thought of “The Nightmare Of The First Order” works better and it plays off the “Awakens” part of “The Force Awakens”. 

Some of the events of The Last Jedi will have happened in this story in a sense. Other than that things will be pretty loose as far as continuity and I’ll let the prompts take me where they take me.

THE NIGHTMARE OF THE FIRST ORDER

 The Galaxy is in chaos! After the obliteration of the Hosnian Prime system by the destructive power of Starkiller Base, the RESISTANCE destroyed it. The New Republic is no more.

 Many systems have formed loose alliances to protect themselves from the First Order while many other systems have aligned themselves with the First Order as they viewed the New Republic as bureaucratic and useless or as a force that enriched some systems at the expense of theirs.

 Someone has widely spread leaked information from the First Order and its predecessor The Galactic Empire throughout the galaxy. This leak included documents and blueprints for the creation of Starkiller Base. This information led to systems immediately adopting this technology to produce their own system-destroying bases for their protection.

 These documents also contained references to a “perfect vessel” that was completed in secret after the death of Emperor Palpatine. This vessel was supposedly similar to the Death Star in design and could reportedly produce an energy field capable of protecting a planet from a beam capable of planetary destruction and terraforming planets under the right conditions.

 Many factions are now hunting for this “vessel” for potential wealth or survival. In all this, the apprentice to Supreme Leader Snoke, the villainous Kylo Ren, has all but vanished….

Since the Inktober of 2017, I’ve been taking prompts from these types of drawing challenges and weaving them into stories featuring my versions of many comic book and other pop culture characters. 

In last year’s story (Pause: A Halt To The Onward March Of Automation) Adapter Droid (Mega Man) stopped the evil robot Mergatroid (Ultron) after he traveled into the past and gained access to the body of a monster-hunting robot (Mecha Godzilla). In the process, he met his “sisters” Compatibility Droid (Roll from Megaman) and Sweetie Hottie (Cutie Honey). He also met and fell in love with the robot that inspired his creation Universal Droid (a female version of Astro Boy). Compatibility Droid and Universal Droid were destroyed in the battle and a computer virus that would eventually erase his memory corrupted Adapter Droid. During this quest Adapter Droid gained the knowledge of countless events throughout history from a time traveling ship and deactivates himself rather than have the knowledge lost forever hoping perhaps that someday someone could get rid of the virus and reactivate him.

In the distant future (during another story Maybe: A Problem Of Possibility), he is reactivated without the virus but he is used by a villain named Merlow (Moro from Dragon Ball Super) to help him acquire t one of the Multiversal Stones (like the Infinity Stones on steroids), the Possibility Stone and free some of the greatest threats to the multiverse from a prison protected by the greatest heroes of the Multiverse. The heroes eventually free him and defeat Merlow. In the process though, the Possibility Stone is shattered and Ms. Majors (Captain Marvel) sacrifices herself to contain the stone’s energy which is altering reality. With the energy contained Adapter Droid uses his memories to try and restore things but his corrupted memory from the virus alters history.

In this altered timeline (in another story A 4th October Surprise: The Four Horsemen Of Horror) the living embodiment of Horror and his 4 horsemen rule. Eventually, Adapter Droid along with a group of heroes defeats them and returns things to normal. One of those heroes, Muffina Winters (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) decides to use another of the Multiversal Stones to resurrect her dead sister Autumn. In her search for it, she and a group of other heroes discover a shadowy group known as Fox, Goat, & Soul (Wolfram & Heart from Angel) want to use it to replace the Multiverse with one shaped in their vision. Among this group is a robot called Terma (Arale from Dr. Slump) who was created based on Adapter Droids design. Terma is convinced to protect the Multiverse rather than replace it and helps the heroes stop Fox, Goat, & Soul from achieving their goals.

T̲h̲e̲ ̲O̲n̲w̲a̲r̲d̲ ̲M̲a̲r̲c̲h̲ ̲O̲f̲ ̲A̲u̲t̲o̲m̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲ ̲R̲e̲s̲u̲m̲e̲s̲ 23

Since the Inktober of 2017, I’ve been taking prompts from these types of drawing challenges and weaving them into stories featuring my versions of many comic book and other pop culture characters. 

In last year’s story (Pause: A Halt To The Onward March Of Automation) Adapter Droid (Mega Man) stopped the evil robot Mergatroid (Ultron) after he traveled into the past and gained access to the body of a monster-hunting robot (Mecha Godzilla). In the process, he met his “sisters” Compatibility Droid (Roll from Megaman) and Sweetie Hottie (Cutie Honey). He also met and fell in love with the robot that inspired his creation Universal Droid (a female version of Astro Boy). Compatibility Droid and Universal Droid were destroyed in the battle and a computer virus that would eventually erase his memory corrupted Adapter Droid. During this quest Adapter Droid gained the knowledge of countless events throughout history from a time traveling ship and deactivates himself rather than have the knowledge lost forever hoping perhaps that someday someone could get rid of the virus and reactivate him.

In the distant future (during another story Maybe: A Problem Of Possibility), he is reactivated without the virus but he is used by a villain named Merlow (Moro from Dragon Ball Super) to help him acquire t one of the Multiversal Stones (like the Infinity Stones on steroids), the Possibility Stone and free some of the greatest threats to the multiverse from a prison protected by the greatest heroes of the Multiverse. The heroes eventually free him and defeat Merlow. In the process though, the Possibility Stone is shattered and Ms. Majors (Captain Marvel) sacrifices herself to contain the stone’s energy which is altering reality. With the energy contained Adapter Droid uses his memories to try and restore things but his corrupted memory from the virus alters history.

In this altered timeline (in another story A 4th October Surprise: The Four Horsemen Of Horror) the living embodiment of Horror and his 4 horsemen rule. Eventually, Adapter Droid along with a group of heroes defeats them and returns things to normal. One of those heroes, Muffina Winters (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) decides to use another of the Multiversal Stones to resurrect her dead sister Autumn. In her search for it, she and a group of other heroes discover a shadowy group known as Fox, Goat, & Soul (Wolfram & Heart from Angel) want to use it to replace the Multiverse with one shaped in their vision. Among this group is a robot called Terma (Arale from Dr. Slump) who was created based on Adapter Droids design. Terma is convinced to protect the Multiverse rather than replace it and helps the heroes stop Fox, Goat, & Soul from achieving their goals. 

Terma is very eager to meet Adapter Droid. She had been waiting quite a long time…
