Nestra, Mental Assassin, & Crimson Matroyshka On Being A Female Assassin

I realized I had 3 different female assassin characters with strong accents and figured I’d put them all together.  It really would be weird (but also cool) to see “Elektra”, “Psylocke”, and “Black Widow” hangout and talk shop.  Two of them dated “Daredevil” so you got some interesting stuff right their.  Maybe some kinda blades vs guns debate.  The possibilities are endless.

Tomorrow Succubus and Red Witch have an uncomfortable conversation. Hope you enjoy and see ya then

Although I’m sure it will be awesome the whole thing with Netflix’s “Defenders” show is kinda weird.  I’m no expert of the Defenders (in fact I don’t think I’ve ever read a “Defenders” comic), but I don’t think any of the characters that are suppose to be part of it have ever been part of the “Defenders”.  The “Defenders” themselves seem to be a bunch of characters Marvel slapped together to try and re-create the Avengers (although “The Champions” seems like an even stranger spin on this idea).

By the time this comic is posted I should have finished watching season 2 of “Daredevil”.  Wow this show is great, and Marvel would have to be dumb not to follow up with a “Punisher” show. Damn shame DC doesn’t have an equivalent.

Tommorow we get America-Man’s take on being part of a team.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations #21 Nestra On Her Character Being In The Blind Fury’s TV Series/ The Previous Blind Fury & Her Movies

Nestra On Her Character Being In The Blind Fury’s TV Series/ The Previous Blind Fury & Her Movies

Honestly, Nestra (who is my version of Elektra who you can see in season 2 of Daredevil) here was a hard nut to crack.  Let’s start with her name.  So the name Elektra comes from the Greek tragedy of the same name describe by Wikipedia as being “set in the city of Argos a few years after the Trojan war, it recounts the tale of Electra and the vengeance that she and her brother Orestes take on their mother Clytemnestra and step father Aegisthus for the murder of their father, Agamemnon”. From this comes the psychological term the Electra complex which I’m not going into. So anyways I shortened the name Clytemnestra to Nestra.

For each of these characters I try to come up with a voice and a “twist” to the character.  Both took a while for Nestra.  I decided to make her Spanish because I know of Elektra best from when she was in “Wolverine” when he was feral, and to me she looked Spanish. Then I sorta read up on her life and saw how screwed up it was and came up with the idea that she’d for some odd reason view her life as a comedy and have really bad ideas for movies about it.

That’s it for this week.  Next Monday there will be a new Q-boy comic and Tuesday-Thurday new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations. See ya then and hope you enjoy!
