Yeah so this one is pretty late. My schedule has changed a lot over the last few weeks, and that along with doing the pre-election special for “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” held this up.  Here we begin the final big adventure before we end this Silver Age chapter of “The History Of Comics With Q-boy”.  I figured for this I’d base the panels on all the artists who have been featured in the Silver Age chapter of these comics. Quickie, Hell’s Hunter, Luscious Trapp, & Mr. Mystic On Jobs & Strange Coincidences

“Caitlin Snow” becoming “Killer Frost” so far is the saving grace of this season of “The Flash”.  Everything with “Wally” is stupid and annoying; the new version of “Wells” sucks; and there’s way too many speedsters now. I think part of the problem is that the show lost it’s point. Originally, the show was the lighter and more superpower-based part of the “DC Comics” “CW” shows. Now “Supergirl” and “Legends Of Tomorrow” have taken those roles.

In last night’s episode of “The Flash” “Killer Frost” acts as the “Dark Willow” from “Buffy” of the show by cutting through the crap and saying some really real stuff to “Barry”.  To be clear though, “Dark Willow” is much harsher/better. The part she calls out “Dawn’s” constant whining is the best.

I think “Supergirl” is losing me. It lost all the crappy romcom stuff  from season 1, but replaced it with stupid stuff like “Jimmy Olsen” being a superhero, and “Kara” being a reporter now. Now “Jimmy” and “Wynn” have to lie to her all the time and blah blah blah typical drama that most of these shows phased out of by now. The reporter thing just seems especially lazy. Oh I almost forgot about “Jimmy” running “CatCo” now which is also dumb.

“Miss Martian” seems like a decent addition to the show though.  So far of the “DC Comics” “CW” show it’s “Arrow” and “Legends Of Tomorrow” (this show improved A LOT) fighting for being the best show and “The Flash” and “Supergirl” fighting for being the worst.

Sorry folks the next “The History Of Comics With Q-boy” ( #THoCwQ 61) ain’t done yet. This is picture is some of what I got done so far. Like in the last “The History Of Comics With Q-boy” this comic is based on the work of Robert Crumb.  This is one of my most ambitious comics yet.  It is another double page spread. This first page is one large panel that is based on 6 different images.  I’m done all the actual drawing, but I still have a lot of coloring to do, and I have to do the lettering. Well it looks like Muffy and The Minstrel are getting along now… We’ll see how long that lasts.

So in the last episode of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” “Buffy” gives this speech about being “cookie dough” as opposed to “cookies”.  Mostly this comic is making fun of that. There’s a good joke about “eating her” but mostly the speech seems oddly pre-prepared for the situation.

Q-boy, Death Poll & Kill Screen On The Greatness Of Popularity (Censored)

I’ve seen a guy from “DC Comics” way “fuck “Marvel””. I’ve seen actors whine about, give excuses for, and talk about “great deleted scenes in “Suicide Squad”. I’ve seen pretty much of the whole cast of “Suicide Squad” give the middle finger the critics. What I haven’t seen is class.

For some reason “DC” especially in their movies want to to be the “bad boy”. And that just isn’t what makes “DC” what it is. All their movies so far have these awkward moments where they try to be “edgy” and it’s just weird and kinda sad. It like if the kid everyone knows is a goody two shoes all of a sudden started smoking. You would just give him the side eye as he struggles not to cough.  What makes “DC” what it is are two things. Legacy and possibility. Anything can happen in the “DC” (multi) universe even the whole thing being (repeatedly) rebooted.

Stop trying to be bad. No one’s buying it, and even if anyone did that’s not gonna make anyone like your movies. Embrace what makes you great. Let “Superman” smile, and hope really hard “Marvel” doesn’t take over “Hulu” too. Cuz’ if this “Runaways” show they got planned is half as good as the comic they will.
