I just saw an article on CBR.com claiming that the post credits scenes from “Justice League” was better than the post credits scenes for “Marvel” movies over the last few years. It’s here https://www.cbr.com/justice-leagues-post-credits-tag-is-actually-better-than-marvels/ . No.

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN “JUSTICE LEAGUE” [SPOILERS]

So the first scene if “Superman” starting a race with “The Flash”…. We just did this on “Supergirl” a couple years ago and it was done better there. If they were gonna do this it would’ve been better as an opening to “The Flash” movie or the next “Superman” movie. Better yet show some of the actual race. It was cute but not great.

The second scene… Okay for some reason I was looking away at first and I heard laughter. And I was like “oh shit a better version of “The Joker”? The I saw a bald guy and thought “oh even better, a better version of “Lex Luthor”… No it was just a decoy…. The “real” Lex Luthor has escaped prison… The effin’ Jesse Eisenberg “Lex Luthor” still exist… Nothing against the actor personally. In fact it’s more how the character was written that sucks. I literally almost want to knock the movie down a whole letter grade for this. Then we see “Deathstoke” and that was cool, and the “league of our own line” was good.

It’s not even that “Marvel” post credits scenes have be particularly great because many haven’t, but “Justice League’s” definitely weren’t better. Plus I don’t care what anyone says the one for “Spiderman: Homecoming” was funny as hell.

When you’re young you pick sides on things that don’t matter. You’re a fanboy (or girl (FEMINISM!)). So if you’re somewhere around 25 or under and you’re a fanboy I don’t blame you. I was one. Almost everyone is. Hopefully though as you get older you realize companies don’t give a shit about you. Defedning a company’s “honor” means nothing. You realize you loyalty should be to quality. Screw who makes whatever it is. Both “Marvel” and “DC” have great characters. It’s the characters that matter.

“Marvel” makes better movies. Period. It’s not even close. It’s not debatable. Art is subjective but there are standards when it comes to writing, humor, pacing, ect. “Marvel” movies are better written, better paced, the funny parts are funnier, and there more and better action. Sadly, though “Justice League” is the best movie they made yet it’s a critical failure may already be a flop. Too little too late

Saying all that, because “Marvel” makes better movies “DC” fanboys have to make excuses for why move of the “DCEU” movie are critically panned. The most insane one is the “Rotten Tomatoes” rigged conspiracy. Here’s why that isn’t true:

  • They simply average reviews. Someone might say “well they might only include bad reviews to change the score for…. Reasons”… They wouldn’t because…
  • They are partially owned by “Warner Brothers” who also owns “DC Comics”. “Warner Brothers” likes making money. Then someone might say “..but other reasons”
  • “Wonder Woman” got insanely high reviews and it sucked. In fact it was named the best superhero movie ever by them or something. Again C+ movie if you’re kind. Maybe slightly better than “Thor 2” which was the worst “Marvel” movie.   • Shut up

So no they’re just bad movies. Are the reviews for “Justice League” a little harsh? Sure. It’s being compared to the 2nd best comic movie ever, “The Avengers”. “Marvel” makes stuff that gets nitpicked to death too. Completely unrelated but “All Eyez On Me” gets treated like it gives you cancer and at very worst it’s an okay movie that tries to do the impossible job of summing up “2pac’s” life in one movie. It happens. Conspiracies in general are all bullshit because at the end of the day people with power don’t need to hide what they’re doing. They just do it.

YOU CAN’T MAKE AN OKAY MOVIE

ALONE: “JUSTICE LEAGUE” REVIEW

I’ll just go to the end first on this. It’s a B. A B with an asterisk. See when I went to see “Wonder Woman” the reviews were REALLY good. Suspiciously good, but I figured the movie had to be at least pretty good. It wasn’t and isn’t and it made me pretty mad. If I’m going to see a mediocre movie I don’t want to expect something good and be disappointed. For “Justice League” even with it bad reviews I wanted to make sure this didn’t happen again. So I made sure I went in expecting absolutely nothing. I watched some “Batman V Superman” to set my expectations as low as possible beforehand and then I went to see “Justice League”.

Throughout the movie I had to stop myself from thinking about how easily it could’ve been MUCH better and had not think about “The Avengers” at all. “Justice League” isn’t particularly great in any way, but at least it wasn’t boring, dull, and colorless like the other “DCEU” films. Though he looks stupid and is nothing like any version of “The Flash” he was far less annoying than I thought he was gonna be. He was actually okay. “Superman” was actually in it more than I thought he would be. I literally thought he wasn’t going to show up until the very end. The scenes that were obviously written by Joss Whedon really help to turn this group of heroes into an actual team. The side characters don’t hog up too time (although Martha Kent didn’t need to be in it and Lois could’ve been in it far less). The villain is weak, but I expected him to be weaker.

That’s the nice part…. Problem is, this is the goddamn “Justice League”. This should’ve been mind-blowingly great. I mean this should’ve been “The Avengers” on steroids. This is potentially a much more powerful team. These are the OG’s man! Well, besides the “Justice Society”, but still. This is what we have though and this is the best the “DCEU” has to offer.

For some quick comparisons

  • “GotG Vol. 2 – WAY better than “Justice League”. Still comic book movie of the year
  • “Thor: Ragnarok” – Better that “Justice League”
  • “Spider-man: Homecoming” – About even. “Justice League” has more action, but “Spider-man” has a better villain, is overall written better, and has “Iron Man”
  • “Wonder Woman” is worse. WAY more boring. WAY more “Writing 101” problems
