When I started this comic I intended for each comic to feature 1 person. Then during the second week the “Deadpool” movie came out and I decided that my version of him “Death Poll” would pop in on each comic. I thought it was gonna be for that week only. Then during the big “Flash/Supergirl” TV crossover I did a special comic with their counterparts “Special-Girl and Quickie”. Almost immediately 3 characters were regularly featured.  In the last few months 4 characters started showing up. I literally didn’t think anymore could fit into one comic… This week has 5 characters in every comic.  Crazy how things change…

It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do this week.  Was it gonna be yet another “2016 was the worst year ever thing”, or something saying it wasn’t the worst year ever, or something saying it was but it was our fault… On Christmas night I was gonna try to stay up and write these but I was tired to instead took a nap. I woke back up around 2 and pretty soon an idea struck me… We deserved an alternate ending…Strangely enough the that idea came from the song by Horseshoe Gang (they are this DOPE ass group  of 4 dudes and I think 2 of them are Crooked I’s little brothers. Crooked I is the west coast dude in Slaughterhouse) called “Alternate Ending” where they took “Brenda’s” Got A Baby” and gave it happier ending. I just felt like that part in “The Dark Knight” “people deserve to have their faith rewarded”.

Tomorrow Lou, Spiderous-Man, & Mr. Mystic are joined by Freedom Female and Pussy Whip discuss who might’ve have started that rumor about The Minstrel. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

I don’t know how to rate “Rogue One”. I found the 1st half of it really boring, and even with the more entertaining 2nd half I didn’t really care.  50% is a fail, right? But then it isn’t THAT bad.  But it’s not good either.  Okay it’s better than the prequels right? …Yeah… But I think I’d rather watch the prequels.

I think the ultimate problem is… This isn’t really a “Star Wars” movie. It has the setting, some characters, and a fun reference of two but it’s doesn’t have the “feel”. Say what you want about the prequels (and yes pretty much every criticism is valid), or “The Force Awakens” and it’s sticking VERY close to the formula (member’) they do “feel” like “Star Wars” films. This movie doesn’t. This movie is something else… In fact when it dovetails right into “A New Hope” at the end it feels jarring. Maybe that’s on purpose though. If so is that a mark for it or against it? Let’s go through the good and bad…

The Good

  • The blind dude kicked ass
  • It was cool to see land walkers in different settings
  • The droid was kinda funny
  • The references were nice
  • Overall good action in the 2nd half
  • “Vader” murking a bunch of dudes

The Bad

  • The characters weren’t memorable. (names are misspelled or not included to illustrate the point) “Rebel Girl” is “Jyn”, the main guy is “Cassian(sp?)”, the droid is “K-something”, literally can’t name anyone else
  • The blind dude was also kinda annoying with his constant mantra. Plus he’s just kind of a half-assed “Jedi”. Just have a “Jedi” that survived or don’t
  • The droid wasn’t THAT funny.  Guy’s becoming overrated already. He did like 3 pretty funny things
  • Too much moral gray which as a review I read pointed out just doesn’t work well in a “Star Wars” movie
  • Story didn’t need to be told (the fate of 99% of prequels)
  • Again 1st half = boring
  • 2nd half seems WAY too much like just a bunch of video game levels. I could literally see the missions, objectives, achievements unlocked, and places to use cover. (It takes 2 head shots to kill the “yellow Storm Troopers”, 5 for the “black”)
  • The realization that the whole movie could’ve been “Vader” murking dudes. Why are we following this dude in the white cape?!

I dunno. If you want a kinda grim “non-Star Wars feeling” “Star Wars” movie that really doesn’t matter at the end of the day then this is alright. It doesn’t add or take away anything from the original trilogy because I feels so foreign it doesn’t count.  This is truly a “Trump era” “Star Wars” movie. “Hope” is just a word said at the end referring to something else. The heroes “win”, but it doesn’t matter cuz’ we already know the “Death Star” is destroyed and they just make another one with the same weakness that is also destroyed. Then from “The Force Awakens” we know that despite everything the “Empire” just comes back with a different name and an even bigger weapon that again has basically the same weakness.  That’s when you realize that this is the cycle forever until they just destroy everything including themselves. Ya’ll ready to stop this cycle yet?

Tomorrow all these guys are back talking about “Space Saga Side Story: Rebel Girl And Her Crew” some more. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!
