George Lucas had it right from the very beginning. You had to start with “Episode IV”. The original trilogy is the story that mattered. Because “Star Wars” is about the hero’s journey of “Luke Skywalker” and maybe even moreso the redemption of “Han Solo”.  When you really think about it “Han” is the real hero of these movies. “Luke” joins the rebels because the plot gives him no other choice. His aunt and Uncle are dead and his home it burnt to a crisp (and as I mentioned before I think “Obi-Wan” knew that was going to happen and saw that as the only way he could start training “Luke”. Which is all kinds of messed-up). So he goes with the old man who at least seems to know his dad.

“Han” on the other hand not only really chooses to be a hero, but does so at great risk due to the bounty on his head. Sure you can chalk some of that up to him really wanting to bang “Leia” but still. He also saves the main competitor for her affection more than once again at great risk to himself.  He also does this with no powers, no teachers, and no personal stakes in the fight. He also pays the price for it by being tortured and frozen for several years.  That’s a good dude…

Tomorrow still more with these guy as the talk about “Space Saga Side Story: Rebel Girl & Her Crew”. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

“Luke Skywalker” pretty much has to be “Rey’s” father because “Stars Wars” is about the “Skywalker” family. Yes people argue the “Kylo Ren” is part of the “Skywalker” family, but he’s the villain not the many character. If “Luke” isn’t “Rey’s father and “Rey” is just some rando that’s gonna be stupid.

But now who’s “Rey’s” mom.  I saw a theory that “Captain Phasma” is and I think that makes a lot of sense (she’s also got that British accent). Could this girl in “Rogue One” be her mom though? That would also make a lot of sense. Almost too much sense. Like they wouldn’t have thought of that.

Tomorrow “Freedom Female” spot is filled by “Q-boy” as the others ask him questions about “Space Saga” (as it’s based on stories from his home planet). Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

A new “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailer came out last week and it was pretty cool I guess. Although, all the best part of it are “Iron Man”. In fact I’d MUCH rather see another “Iron Man” where mentoring “Spider-Man” is a subplot. There’s a whole article about how the “Marvel” movies need “Spider-Man” at CBR.com (which is here https://goo.gl/fkZVbm ) and I couldn’t disagree more.  Don’t get me wrong it was nice to see “Spider-Man” in “Civil War” and it worked. But need is a strong word.  No the “Marvel” movies NEED the “X-men” because without them they’re forced to use “Inhumans” and “Inhumans” suck.  Without “X-men” the “MCU” has no good allegory for minorities because again “Inhumans” just don’t work as well.

On to “Rogue One”.  Gotta say not hyped at all. I got my doubts about this one. For one thing I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t think “Star Wars” films work without “Han Solo”, and by “Han Solo” I mean “Harrison Ford”. Watch the original trilogy again and try to imagine it without him. I think you’ll find a MUCH less interesting set of movies. Second it’s a prequel (a side story prequel at that) and sure it’s almost impossible it won’t be better than “Episodes I-III” but that still doesn’t mean it’ll be good.  That being said of course I’ll almost certainly see it Saturday…

Tomorrow these guys return to talk some more about “Space Saga”. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!
