So again I’m tieing into the a side project I’m doing as part of Inktober, Drawtober, and Drawlloween called “An October Surprise: A Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations Gaiden” whichs updates everyday throughout October). Had a lot of trouble with writing the 11th entry in this project. So far this project has been the hardest writing and drawing challenge I tried to do. If you know “DBZ” it’s like my personal hyperbolic time chamber.

At the same time it is truly fun though.

The week the “CW” “DC Comics” started their new season. So far I’ve seen “Supergirl”, “The Flash”, and “Legends Of Tommorow”… Gotta say not great starts for any of them. I think I’ve determined that I pretty much just want these guys to fight villains. Everything else is just a waste of time. I think the underlining problem is these shows just aren’t THAT good. The acting just isn’t good enough by any one on any of them for them to waste time anything else. The best example is “The Flash”. When “Gustin Grant” plays anything other than just the normal version of “Barry/The Flash” it’s not convincing. This is something I think I need to get more into later. One last thing about “The Flash” though, “Caitlyn” is now the “Hulk”?! (She even basically steals the “you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry” line). Ew!

Wow. I gotta admit that doing this side project for Inktober/Drawtober/Drawlloween in addition to these comics may be getting to me. This comic is actually suppose to be tommorow’s comic 😂. Fortunately, the order of the first 2 comics this week doesn’t matter that much. The comic that was intended for today would’ve been slightly more topical today because it mentions “SNL”, but eff it!

Moving on, over the weekend we go the trailers for “Runaways” on Hulu and a new “Justice League” trailer. “Runaways” looks pretty cool, but that comic is awesome so that’s no surprise. The new “Justice League” trailer though… Is it possible this might actually be good? Could it actually rise above the mediocre at best “DC” movies. Don’t get me wrong it still seems to have all the same problems I’ve mentioned before, but it had little moments that give it hope. The little moment where “Cyborg” catches “Aquaman” being the biggest.

Got around to watching “The Gifted” and it looks pretty good so far. I really only half watched it and probably didn’t give it enough attention so I can’t give it any kind of thorough review. I really liked “Bill” from “True Blood” and “Fred” from “Angel” as the parents though.

Gonna keep it short and sweet cuz’ I got to get back to work on my other project that’s part of Inktober, Drawtober, and Drawlloween called “An October Surprise: A Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations Gaiden” which this comic references.

I didn’t know “X-men” related show “The Gifted” came out this week so I missed it. If I remember to watch it tonight I’ll probably talk about it tomorrow. What I’m going to get into today is “Marvel Legacy” which came out last week.

There’s an article on CBR.com that compares it to DC’s “Rebirth” initiative/comic. It was this article if you care http://www.cbr.com/marvel-legacy-dc-rebirth-comparison/. The suggestion is that “Marvel” at least somewhat “copied” “Rebirth”. It really didn’t though. They have a similar tone. Actually the “Rebirth” comic was a lot better. I hate that “Doctor Manhattan” from “Watchmen” was used, but it was a well written comic that hit you in the feels with the return of “Wally West”.

“Legacy”, on the other hand another one of “Marvel’s” typical “nice resets” after a “dark event”. Also it’s less an actual story and bits and piece of what’s coming up in “Marvel” titles. They include:

  • “Avengers: 1,000,000 BC” which I’ve talked about before. Still seems stupid but the art is nice
  • “Star Brand” and “Ghost Rider” fighting over something that might have something to do with “Avengers: 1,000,000 BC”… Stop trying to make “Star Brand” (or any “New Universe” characters for that matter) happen “Marvel
  • The unsurprising return of “Tony Stark”
  • “Deadpool” killing “Phil Coulson” or something and being hunted for it
  • “Falcon” becoming the “Falcon” again
  • The real “Wolverine” being back with an “Infinity Gem” for some reason
  • And a big tease about the return of “The Fantastic Four” that I have the overwhelming feeling it going to lead to nothing. I hope I’m wrong and “Marvel” is brighter than that

Overall it was kinda “meh”. Tomorrow Admiral Star shows up to tie with my “Intober/ Drawtober/ Drawlloween” project “An October Surprise: A Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations Gaiden”. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

I knew this going to happen… I’ve ragged on the “Inhumans” a lot. Generally I find them to be pretty boring characters. And I HATE Marvel’s attempt to use them in place of the “X-men”, and my God did I hate them on “Agents Of Shield”. “Shield” being show I hate watch purely as a test of endurance at this point. IN-HATIN’ just seems like “Marvel” had been trying to shove these characters down our throats for the last 10 years. Admittedly, I did see a motion comic of the “Inhumans” “Marvel Knights” series that was pretty good though.

It  started when the first trailer for the “Inhumans” show came out and people were like “IT’S WORSE THAN AIDS”! I saw and it thought it seemed okay. Then the first 2 episodes were put in “IMAX” theatres for some reason. That was definitely a poor decision. People reactions were “MARVEL FAILS AND DC WINS BY DEFAULT NOW”!!!! That’s when I knew… I was probably going to have to defend “Inhumans”. It probably wasn’t going to be that bad…

I can’t even express how much I hate the world for forcing me to do this… “Inhumans” was okay. I’d go as far as saying it “borders on good”. This is world that has shows like “Shield” and “Gotham”. If you can stomach either of those shows “Inhumans” ain’t bad at all. This show’s actually interesting and has likeable characters. That’s more than can say about a lot of show that get nowhere near the hate this one is getting.

Tomorrow Drizzle is switched out for Hazard Hands and he give his two cents. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Well looks like our boy Kanye has put on a few. If you don’t know a picture came out late last week of Kanye looking fat in some beat up dirty clothes and smiling. People are assuming the weight gain is from anti-depressants. This is also assuming Kanye “went crazy” a while back. I don’t know if he did or didn’t but he seemed no crazier than he’s ever been. To paraphrase the man himself from a song “[he’s] been out [his] mind a long time”. Personally, I think he faked the whole thing to get out his tour and because even he realized that rant he did about Jay-Z and Beyonce was a bad idea.

So as I shamefully revealed before I watch “TMZ Live” and it seems like every other week they have some story about how Kanye is “better” or “back” or “happy now”. Always based on basically nothing. “Oh look he smiled”! Why wouldn’t he be smiling?! He RICH! The question is why he was ever so mad for so long. All I’m saying is let’s see what he says or does before claiming anything about his mental state. Like I wrote in the comic Trump smiles sometimes too and he’s a sociopath.

Tomorrow Spiderous-Man and Pussy Whip are subbed out for Admiral Star. The Minstrel tries to get a “picture” of her psychological state to see if she should join The American World Protectors Of America. You should assume things don’t go as planned. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

If you didn’t know last Saturday was “Batman Day”. This year because it’s the 25th anniversary of the character “Harley Quinn” took over “Batman Day”. She was subbed in for other characters in famous and iconic “Batman” covers and generally given at least equal billing to “Batman”… It’s kinda messed up. She should have a big thing on the anniversary of then the first episode of “Batman: The Animated Series” with her in it, but she shouldn’t horn in on “Batman” day.

She already an over-used and not particularly well used character character as it is. The comics I see with her in it suck. The “Suicide Squad” movie sucked, and I haven’t seen it but the direct to DVD movie “Batman And Harley Quinn” is generally seen as sucking. Speaking of sucking someone rented “Wonder Woman” so I saw it a 3rd time… Yeah still C+ at best.

Tomorrow these guys return to talk about a certain celebrity who’s gained some weight. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

I’ll never get tired of Slowku being dumb. One thing I wanted to set up in this comic is that Slowku and Special-Man’s dads knew each other. At some point I want to explain the connections between them and Q-boy and why all of these alien characters are on Earth.

On an entirely different note October is coming up and with it are drawing challenges where you draw something every day such as Inktober. I have the beginnings of an idea for something special I want to do for it. This might be too nutty even for me though, but we’ll see…
