Special-Girl & Quickie On Quickie’s Character Appearing On Special-Girl’s Show (Censored)

Good evening folks!  This is a special Monday edition of Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations in honor of the big team-up of Supergirl and The Flash on the Supergirl show tonight.  This comic was inspired by the episode of Supergirl where red kryptonite makes her evil (and way cooler for most of the episode).  I just thought “what if she had a tiny amount to make her less uptight and less of a pushover”.  I felt similar when Spider-man got the black costume in “Spider-man 3” and he at least stopped letting everyone push him around.

Moving on, I saw Batman V Superman on Saturday and wow…. What a spectacular failure that was… It SO bad on so many levels. What a joyless, colorless, humorless film with not a trace of fun.  I think I’ll go more into it later this week but yeah it was terrible.

See you tomorrow morning for a new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations.  See ya then and hope you enjoy!

So with the last Q-boy comic I was talking about Fletcher Hanks and the crazy ass comics he made in the early days of superheroes.  This comic is based on various comics of his most famous character, Stardust.

As crazy as this comic is that actual comics are scarily close to this.  Next time is a the 50th comic which will be a double page spectacular and the name of the comic will be officially changed to “The History Of Comics With Q-boy”… Oh yeah keep you eyes peeled for something special around 9pm on Monday in honor of a certain team-up.  On Tuesday-Thursday there will be new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations.  See ya then and hope you enjoy!

Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations #21 Nestra On Her Character Being In The Blind Fury’s TV Series/ The Previous Blind Fury & Her Movies

Nestra On Her Character Being In The Blind Fury’s TV Series/ The Previous Blind Fury & Her Movies

ccc-21-nestra

Honestly, Nestra (who is my version of Elektra who you can see in season 2 of Daredevil) here was a hard nut to crack.  Let’s start with her name.  So the name Elektra comes from the Greek tragedy of the same name describe by Wikipedia as being “set in the city of Argos a few years after the Trojan war, it recounts the tale of Electra and the vengeance that she and her brother Orestes take on their mother Clytemnestra and step father Aegisthus for the murder of their father, Agamemnon”. From this comes the psychological term the Electra complex which I’m not going into. So anyways I shortened the name Clytemnestra to Nestra.

For each of these characters I try to come up with a voice and a “twist” to the character.  Both took a while for Nestra.  I decided to make her Spanish because I know of Elektra best from when she was in “Wolverine” when he was feral, and to me she looked Spanish. Then I sorta read up on her life and saw how screwed up it was and came up with the idea that she’d for some odd reason view her life as a comedy and have really bad ideas for movies about it.

That’s it for this week.  Next Monday there will be a new Q-boy comic and Tuesday-Thurday new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations. See ya then and hope you enjoy!

And here’s my version of “The Punisher”… Took a while for me to settle on a name.  I had Death Penalty in my head, but I just didn’t think it was good enough.  Then I was pretty sure I was gonna use The Equalizer but there’s a movie called that with a very Punisher-like character.  All this time I had Frag Count as sorta of a second choice. The name gave me the video game kinda spin on the character.  So yeah that’s Frag Count… Tommorow we meet a lady known as Nestra as this Daredevil season 2 inspired week continues.  See ya then and hope you enjoy!

I hear there’s this Daredevil show on Netflix… Seriously though between Daredevil coming back last week, Batman V Superman this week, and the big Supergirl and Flash team-up next week we’re reaching comic Nirvana. Sadly, I’ve actually only seen the first episode of Daredevil so far (and yes it is great).  I’m actually still watching House Of Cards and slowly catching up on Orphan Black (got about 3 episodes left)… Oh and I was originally gonna wait until it was dubbed but I started on Dragon Ball Super (about 13 or so episodes in).

That’s it for this one.  Tomorrow we meet Frag Count and see what has to say… See ya then and hope you enjoy!

So if you follow these comics so far Q-boy isn’t a fan of Spiderous-Man and now it appears neither is America-Man. Spider-man begin part of a team always seems kinda off to me.  It can work like with the early issues of New Avengers, but to me it takes away from is down-on-his-luck status.

This comic mentions The Spiderous-Lady which is this world’s version of Spider Woman.  You’ll get a glimpse of her in the 50th Q-boy Short comic which is where the comic will be officially renamed “The History Of Comics With Q-boy”.  Anyways that’s all I got for you this week. New Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations Tuesday-Thursday. Hope you enjoy and see you next week!

Sorry for your luck Spiderous-Man. Suck to be you! So for those of you who haven’t been following Marvel lately.  There was this other universe the Ultimate universe where Peter Parker got killed and this half black half hispanic kid, Miles Morales who also got spider powers took his place.  Not too long ago there was this event “Secret Wars” which basically ended the Ultimate universe and brought Miles over to the “regular” Marvel universe (among many other things).  So that’s what this comic is referencing.

That pretty much it for this one. See ya tomorrow with America-Man and his opinion on the trailer to his movie “America-Man: Civil Unrest”.

Looks like Spiderous-Man has finally made it!… Yeah we’ll see where that goes. So this is all referencing the big reveal of Spider-Man at the end of the new “Captain America: Civil War” trailer.  If you somehow haven’t see it here’s a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKrVegVI0Us .

In the middle there’s a whole bit that references the “Madd Rapper skit” the begins in the song “Kick In The Door” by Biggie. Here’s a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNwvHEme_JE

Also if you don’t watch “Broad City” here’s a clip with the “I rich” singing bit.  The whole thing is worth watching but that part specifically starts about 33 second in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p77im07RsE .

If you don’t “I’m rich bitch” then I just feel bad for you… Well we’ll check in again on Spiderous-Man tomorrow.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Flint Henry is based on Fletcher Hanks.  Fletcher Hanks was an artist in the very early days of comics who wrote and drew some really whacked out stories.

The site “Dangerous Minds” has an article ( which you can check out here http://dangerousminds.net/comments/the_astonishingly_incompetent_superhero ) that describes how “Hanks drew superhero comics for a terribly short time—1939 to 1941—before dropping off the map altogether. It’s a bit of a miracle that we have so many of his comics in print, and much of that is due to the heroic labors of Paul Karasik”.  It adds that “In 2007 Karasik publishedI Shall Destroy All The Civilized Planets!” and in 2009You Shall Die By Your Own Evil Creation!“” which collects pretty much all of his comics.  The article also states that “I Shall Destroy All The Civilized Planets”  “contains a 16-page comic by Karasik about discovering Hanks’ work and meeting with his (it turns out) estranged son”.  This story clearly shows that Hanks was an abusive drunk, who ended up abandoning his family and freezing to death.

The article goes on to add that “Hanks’ work had two primary characters, “Stardust the Super Wizard” and “Fantomah the Mystery Woman of the Jungle,” and a host of less interesting characters like Space Smith, Big Red McLane, and Whirlwind Carter”.  In the article Karasik is quoted as saying that “part of the fascination Hanks exerts is that he is a rare early case of a true auteur, a comics artist who “wrote, penciled, inked, lettered, and, I think, colored his work”.

I’ve read I Shall Destroy All The Civilized Planets!” and “You Shall Die By Your Own Evil Creation! and honestly I think only the Stardust comics are even “so crazy their good” good, and even those start to get stale especially when Stardust gets a bunch of kid sidekicks.  Still there’s something interesting about seeing these angry weird tales  that were made before the “rules” for making comics were established.

Anyways that’s that for this week. Next time we see Flint Henry’s Q-boy story.  Tuesday- Thurday there will be new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations.  Hope you enjoy and see ya next time!

So the first part of this comic where Q-boy talks about his boss refers back to Q-boy Short # 16, 18, & 19 (which you can check out at https://qboyandtheninja.com/2014/02/09/qbs16/ , https://qboyandtheninja.com/2014/02/09/qbs16/ , & https://qboyandtheninja.com/2014/09/14/qbs19/ respectively).  Q-boy’s boss Rod Rapier is based on Don Draper from Mad Men.

Then we have more Dragon Ball references which again will be expanded on tomorrow.  The stuff at the end is very much based on reality as I’m actually a few episodes into season 2 of “Orphan Black” and I’ve watched the first 3 episodes of this season of “House Of Cards”.  Both are truly great shows! Anyways hope you enjoy and see ya tomorrow!
