This one actually tied into the Holiday Special comic from Monday.  Yep it’s in continunity…

Anyways “Civil War II” finally ended last week and… Wow…. What a waste of time and good art… The worst thing about “Marvel’s” crossovers is that they never really end they just shift into whatever the “new status quo” is.  This “new status quo” is especially bad. “The Hulk” is dead, “She Hulk” is more like “The Hulk” which is stupid and defeats the purpose of her character. “Iron Man” is off the table, and that scene was just painfully forced. “Cap” is STILL a “Hydra” agent (I thought they ended that after like 2 issues). Oh and the “Inhuman” kid who could predict the future is now some cosmic entitiy or something because “Inhumans” are IMPORTANT and always involved in everything. We get it “Marvel”. We get it!

“Marvel” may DESTROY “DC” when comes to movies and beat them by a lot at TV with the “Netflix” shows, but I gotta say I think “DC” might be winning with actual comics. To be clear this is pretty much only because one of the “Justice League” books is okay and “All Star Batman” is great.

Luscious Trapp, & Spiderous-Man On … They’re Still Going On About Video Games (Censored)

I don’t play video games much anymore. The last game I played and beat was “GTA 5” (the only “GTA” I ever beat). It’s been even longer since I played an RPG. I played “Skyrim” for a few weeks and lost interest. I think I gotta go WAY back to “Fable III” was the next one.  Before that this game “Radiata Stories” (which I forgot the name of for a long ass time til’ I looked it up today. God that was bugging me!) where I screwed up something I couldn’t fix so I just quit playing.

The last “Final Fantasy” I played was “Final Fantasy X”. Never beat that one cause I couldn’t ever do the thing where you gotta dodge lighting 8 million times to get “Tidus’” ultimate weapon. It had some cool characters but the story was kinda “meh” anyways. I actually bought “Final Fantasy XI” but I couldn’t get the online thing for “Playstation 2” to work.

Due to a buncha crap with having an old TV and finally getting a new one for Christmas I think I’m finally getting the “PS4” shoulda got last year. In the process of looking up that “Radiata Stories” game I saw that other rpg I really liked “Suikoden” had 3 sequels I never knew about. I’m considering downloading those games if possible. Course at this point playing them would require getting rid of sleep entirely as a concept… Still tempted though.

In last week’s comics Mr. Mystic went to the future and heard that someone (Freedom Female) started a rumor about The Minstrel being Kellyanne Conway. He also learned that Trump was revealed to be a Russian robot. He then felt like he should stop that rumor about The Minstrel from starting.  As you can see he failed that goal.

Tommorow Freedom Female takes The Minstrel’s place as the convo goes more off course with video game talk and we learn more about how Mr. Mystic screwed up. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Before I start strangely enough I got likes for the last two comics on Twitter from R&B singer Rapheal Saadiq of all people. Man I’m curious to know how he stumbled on to this comic of all things.

Anyways unless plans drastically change this will be the last one these comics for this year. It’s been too much fun making these comics. It’s been one dark crazy messed-up year and I just hope these dark crazy messed-up comics sometimes made a few minutes of it a little more bearable. To of all you who liked, retweeted, shared, or just read these comics this year I appreciated it more than you can know.

After posting the first page of the special holiday comic on Christmas day I’m still working on the rest.  I’ll try to get it out by New Years. When I started this comic I intended for each comic to feature 1 person. Then during the second week the “Deadpool” movie came out and I decided that my version of him “Death Poll” would pop in on each comic. I thought it was gonna be for that week only. Then during the big “Flash/Supergirl” TV crossover I did a special comic with their counterparts “Special-Girl and Quickie”. Almost immediately 3 characters were regularly featured.  In the last few months 4 characters started showing up. I literally didn’t think anymore could fit into one comic… This week has 5 characters in every comic.  Crazy how things change…

It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do this week.  Was it gonna be yet another “2016 was the worst year ever thing”, or something saying it wasn’t the worst year ever, or something saying it was but it was our fault… On Christmas night I was gonna try to stay up and write these but I was tired to instead took a nap. I woke back up around 2 and pretty soon an idea struck me… We deserved an alternate ending…Strangely enough the that idea came from the song by Horseshoe Gang (they are this DOPE ass group  of 4 dudes and I think 2 of them are Crooked I’s little brothers. Crooked I is the west coast dude in Slaughterhouse) called “Alternate Ending” where they took “Brenda’s” Got A Baby” and gave it happier ending. I just felt like that part in “The Dark Knight” “people deserve to have their faith rewarded”.

It really does suck that Carrie Fisher died. Mainly because the thought that she lived through the heart attack she had was a glimmer of hope. For a second we thought “2016 was tough but it couldn’t kill “Princess Leia””… but then it did. Carrie Fisher played an iconic character as “Princess Leia”, she was in a classic episode of “30 Rock”, and she was in “Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back”.  That’s more than enough to gain our undying respect in my book. Also she seemed like a pretty cool lady.

I know this is too much to ask, but please hear me out… Can we stop with “Star Wars” movies now? I know they already started on “Episode VIII” so let’s just do this one and wrap it up. Cuz’ now they gotta awkwardly write around “Leia” or kill off the character as well.  That’s too much.  So “Disney” we know you paid A LOT of money on “Star Wars” and expect a big return on that investment. So I have a proposal. You make animated movies of stuff like “Dark Empire” which will be MUCH cheaper and we’ll all promise to go to the theatre just like a live-action movies. You’ll make even more money and we’ll all be happier. Just consider it.

I think I’m going to try something new with all “Star Wars” movies from here on out. I’m going to try to treat them as “what ifs”. The original trilogy really shouldn’t be touched or added to in any way. That story was complete. The whiny farm boy became a hero. The selfish smuggler only out for himself became a general in the fight for freedom. The princess that lost everything learned of a family she never knew. The villain consumed by his hate finally overcame it and in his last act overthrew the man controlling him. With no leadership the empire probably fell eventually, and the galaxy returned to relative peace and freedom.

The details of how things came to be were stories best left to your imagination. Something REALLY bad happened to “Anakin Skywalker” and “Obi-Wan” his mentor was involved. He was corrupted by the “Emperor” who took over what was “The Old Republic” which turned it into the fascist “Empire”. Something called “The Clone Wars” happened which sounds awesome. What did we learn about any of this from the prequels that didn’t just make all this worse?

George Lucas had it right from the very beginning. You had to start with “Episode IV”. The original trilogy is the story that mattered. Because “Star Wars” is about the hero’s journey of “Luke Skywalker” and maybe even moreso the redemption of “Han Solo”.  When you really think about it “Han” is the real hero of these movies. “Luke” joins the rebels because the plot gives him no other choice. His aunt and Uncle are dead and his home it burnt to a crisp (and as I mentioned before I think “Obi-Wan” knew that was going to happen and saw that as the only way he could start training “Luke”. Which is all kinds of messed-up). So he goes with the old man who at least seems to know his dad.

“Han” on the other hand not only really chooses to be a hero, but does so at great risk due to the bounty on his head. Sure you can chalk some of that up to him really wanting to bang “Leia” but still. He also saves the main competitor for her affection more than once again at great risk to himself.  He also does this with no powers, no teachers, and no personal stakes in the fight. He also pays the price for it by being tortured and frozen for several years.  That’s a good dude…
