Here’s the problem with every “X-men” movie, “Professor X”, “Magneto”, “Mystique”, and “Wolverine” (when he’s a major character) hog up all the spotlight so other characters suffer.  Another problem is pointless changes to characters that don’t add anything.  In “Apocalypse” they give “Psylocke” a weird ability she never had for no reason at all. So here’s some complaints I’ve heard about “X-men: Apocalypse”:

  • Not enough action – No there’s plenty of action and more importantly it’s GOOD action.
  • Mystique isn’t blue most of the time – It’s clearly established in the movie why and it makes sense. She’s blue when it makes sense for her to be blue. Sure it actually because Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t wear the make up all the time but still it does make sense.
  • Psylocke doesn’t talk much – …. She’s a ninja… Granted she given no back story though.

Now on to the comic. So this is mainly about “Black Panther” and “Storm” being married (they’re not now).  I always found it kinda weird. Like they’re both from Africa so they had to have run into each other? I know that “Wakanda” is suppose to be in Northeastern Africa, but I established Proud Lion’s kingdom (which I don’t have a name for yet) as being in Southern Africa because I based his costume on the look of a dark-mane lion which are more common there. Anyways tomorrow Gold Rush, General Magnetic, and Red Witch discuss family issues. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

With The Innovator I wanted to use colors not associated with “Iron Man”. We all know Iron Man traditional colors of red and gold, but he’s also worn suits that are red and silver (Silver Centurion), blue and gold, and all white (Superior Iron Man) among others.  I ended up going with a blueish gray and green for The Innovator’s armor.

It took a while to settle on a name for Proud Lion. I was sure I wanted it to be “something” Lion. I was thinking about Dark Lion or Shadow Lion, but black lions don’t exist and these names seemed too close to “Black Panther”.

That’s it for this week. See ya next Tuesday-Thursday for more Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!
