Wing-Man On Possibly Taking America-Man’s Mantle

Now in “Marvel” there’s is or will be 2 “Captain Americas”, “Thors”, “Spider-Men”, and “Iron Men” at the same time.  That seems confusing from a branding perspective as well as within the “Marvel” universe itself. If someone yells out “Captain America” in a battle you don’t want 2 guys responding.  All of these choices were to help promote diversity which is admirable, but I really wish “Marvel” would just put the time and effort into creating entirely new characters, and using characters that already exist.  This is what they did with “Luke Cage”.  They got rid of the yellow shirt and the headband, and started using him.  Now he’s got a show coming out on “Netflix” after being part of the “Jessica Jones” show (which is based on the comic “Alias” where “Luke Cage” started being used again and gaining popularity).

“The Falcon” is awesome in the movies. So why not make the comic version of him more like the movie one? That’s what they did with “Nick Fury”. Anyways that’s it for this week.  Next week starts off with a “The History Of Comics With Q-boy” where America-Man is called in for a rescue mission and we meet the man known as Dick Anger. New “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” Tuesday-Thursday.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Yep issue 2 of the “Captain America” comic where the “HydraCap” thing started came out and immediately showed it was all false memories created by the “Cosmic Cube” all orchestrated by the “Red Skull”.  There’s more to it but who cares.  You can all put your “TeamCap” shirts back on.  We’ll leave it at that. Hope you enjoy, happy 4th, and see ya tomorrow for a a new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations”.

Here’s the problem with every “X-men” movie, “Professor X”, “Magneto”, “Mystique”, and “Wolverine” (when he’s a major character) hog up all the spotlight so other characters suffer.  Another problem is pointless changes to characters that don’t add anything.  In “Apocalypse” they give “Psylocke” a weird ability she never had for no reason at all. So here’s some complaints I’ve heard about “X-men: Apocalypse”:

  • Not enough action – No there’s plenty of action and more importantly it’s GOOD action.
  • Mystique isn’t blue most of the time – It’s clearly established in the movie why and it makes sense. She’s blue when it makes sense for her to be blue. Sure it actually because Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t wear the make up all the time but still it does make sense.
  • Psylocke doesn’t talk much – …. She’s a ninja… Granted she given no back story though.

Now on to the comic. So this is mainly about “Black Panther” and “Storm” being married (they’re not now).  I always found it kinda weird. Like they’re both from Africa so they had to have run into each other? I know that “Wakanda” is suppose to be in Northeastern Africa, but I established Proud Lion’s kingdom (which I don’t have a name for yet) as being in Southern Africa because I based his costume on the look of a dark-mane lion which are more common there. Anyways tomorrow Gold Rush, General Magnetic, and Red Witch discuss family issues. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

I thought I was done for this week but the internet seemingly exploded because in the comic “Captain America: Steve Rogers #1” it’s “revealed” that he was in fact an agent of Hydra all along… I’m baffled how anyone thinks this is for real… Like if you’re new to comics or a young kid I kinda get it.  Even then you’ve seen wrestling or some serialized entertainment where a good guy turns heel, and or it wasn’t REALLY them.  I’ll say I did read an article on “Comic Book Resources” before I read the comic where the writer is literally like *WINK* *WINK* *NUDGE* EFFIN’ *NUDGE* Cosmic Cube! Specifically this part “for context, this is a Steve Rogers that was just returned to his youth by a Cosmic Cube — a reality warping device that has, at times, been used for nefarious purposes. While this is definitely Steve Rogers, as Spencer says, it’s still possible that this is a different Steve Rogers than we’ve seen before”.
