I decided to make this comic black and white because it is entirely based on “The Spirit” by Will Eisner which I think usually looks best in black and white. I gotta admit that I may have tried to cram too much into one page. Oh well… So let’s get to the panels…

That it for this one. Next time we run into my other character who we haven’t seen in a bit “The Bastardized Ninja” ( who’s adventures you can check out here http://qr.net/bUZ8a . Check out new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” on Tuesday-Thursday. Hope you enjoy and see ya next time!

The Spider is at it again, and again things don’t go well for them.  Here we meet this world’s version of “Nick Fury”, Dick Anger.  Figured since “Marvel” eventually made “Nick Fury” Black I’d just start with him being Black. All of the panels of this comic are based on the work of Jim Steranko, and specifically…

Next time there is a great search for a man known as “The Virtuoso”.  Check out new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” on Tuesday-Thursday. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

The character Ron Rankenfile is based on the comic book artist Jim Steranko, and the panels of this comics are based on his work. On “Wikipedia” he’s described as “an American graphic artist, comic book writer/artist, historian, magician, publisher and film production illustrator. His most famous comic book work was with the 1960s superspy featureNick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.” inMarvel Comics’”Strange Tales” and in the subsequent eponymous series. Steranko earned lasting acclaim for his innovations in sequential art during the Silver Age of Comic Books, particularly his infusion of surrealism, op art, and graphic design into the medium”.  In this story I wanted to capture the idea that this he was truly a multi-talented person. On to the panels…

  • Panels 1-3 are based on 3 panels from “Nick Fury, Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” 1 which you can see here http://qr.net/bRgMM
  • Panel 4 is based on the cover of “Nick Fury, Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” 7 which you can see here http://qr.net/bRgN7
  • Panel 5 is based on the cover of “Creatures On The Loose” 22 which you can see here http://qr.net/bRgQ2
  • Panel 6 is based on the cover of “Strange Tales” 153 which you see here http://qr.net/bRgSm
  • Panels 7-10 are based on panels from “Captain America” 110 which you can see here http://qr.net/bRgUX

That’s it for this one. Next time we catch up with Q-boy’s ex-girlfriend Helen Seabrook AKA Miss Direction in an adventure that involves America-Man and introduces us to the man known as Dick Anger.  Look out for a special Independence Day “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” as well as the normally schedules comics on Tuesday-Thursday. Have a great Independence Day everyone! Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

With this one I thought “what if a superhero team acted like a straight up gang?”.  For good measure I threw in a “Menace II Society” reference. Also in this one I introduce “The Spider” which is my version of “Cobra” from “G.I. Joe” only they’re not really that evil at all.  You’ll be seeing more of these guys over time. The panels of this comic are based on the work of Ramona Fradon.

That’s it for this one. Next time a man called “The Illusionist” is called in to solve a big problem. Check out new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations this Tuesday-Thursday.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

So the actual story of this comic comes from the character “Shadow” from “Final Fantasy VI”.  He’s a character that only joins your party for money, leaves a random times, betrays your party at a certain point, and at one point you can wait to escape with him or leave without him.  When I played the “Playstation” remake of the game I didn’t know waiting for him meant he rejoins you so I left without him.  When I learned I coulda got him back I quit playing cause either I’d have to play A LOT of the game again or go on without him.

Anyways Rolanda Fransico is based on Ramona Fradon an artist who is best known for drawing “Aquaman”, “Brenda Starr”, “Super Friends” comics, and co-creating the character “Metamorpho.

Next time The Underwater Monarch’s kingdom is attacked and Q-boy along with the American World Protectors Of America come to back him up.  Tuesday-Thurday check out new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations”.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!
