The History Of Comics With Q-boy #63 Reunited And It Feels… Even Worse Than Before (Censored)

Yeah so this one is pretty late. My schedule has changed a lot over the last few weeks, and that along with doing the pre-election special for “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” held this up.  Here we begin the final big adventure before we end this Silver Age chapter of “The History Of Comics With Q-boy”.  I figured for this I’d base the panels on all the artists who have been featured in the Silver Age chapter of these comics. On to the panels…

  • Panel 1 is based on 2 panels from page 31 of “Jungle Comics” #11 by Fletcher Hanks which you can check out here https://goo.gl/UfjzYT
  • Panel 2 is based on a page from “The Daring New Adventures Of Supergirl #13” by Carmine Infantino which you can check out here https://goo.gl/8A62j7
  • Panel 3 is based on a page from “Kull The Conqueror” #2 by Marie Severin which you can check out here https://goo.gl/CLBEs4
  • Panel 4 is based on page 9 of “Fantastic Four” #102 by Jack Kirby which you can check out here https://goo.gl/MZLcqW

Next time… Actually I haven’t written it yet, but I got a rough idea where I’m going. Check out new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” Tuesday-Thursday. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Special-Girl, Dr. Do, & Luscious Trapp On Favors & Debts (Censored)

The whole thing with Dr. Do owing Luscious money is based on a story where “Dr. Doom” owed “Luke Cage” money. You can check out a breakdown of that story here https://goo.gl/KLJ2CM .

Yesterday I talked about how one of the most fun things about doing these comics is making my version of “Supergirl” a drug addict.  Another thing that is fun about doing these comics is mixing “DC” and “Marvel” characters so I can have my drug addict “Supergirl” beg my verison of “Dr. Doom” to make the equivalent of “Red Kryptonite” for her.

That’s it for this week. Check out new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” on Tuesdays-Thursdays. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

The Vicious Cycle And The Gifts They Buy You

Sorry folks the next “The History Of Comics With Q-boy” ( #THoCwQ 61) ain’t done yet. This is picture is some of what I got done so far. Like in the last “The History Of Comics With Q-boy” this comic is based on the work of Robert Crumb.  This is one of my most ambitious comics yet.  It is another double page spread. This first page is one large panel that is based on 6 different images.  I’m done all the actual drawing, but I still have a lot of coloring to do, and I have to do the lettering. Check out new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” Tuesday-Thursday with something special planned for Thursday’s 100th comic. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

With this one I thought “what if a superhero team acted like a straight up gang?”.  For good measure I threw in a “Menace II Society” reference. Also in this one I introduce “The Spider” which is my version of “Cobra” from “G.I. Joe” only they’re not really that evil at all.  You’ll be seeing more of these guys over time. The panels of this comic are based on the work of Ramona Fradon.

That’s it for this one. Next time a man called “The Illusionist” is called in to solve a big problem. Check out new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations this Tuesday-Thursday.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

The Innovator, Headmaster Fresh, & Mr. Stretch On People Who Can Predict The Future (Censored)

ccc-45-theinnovatorheadmasterfreshmrstretch

Early on when coming up with these characters I thought it would be interesting to switch how the “Mr. Fantastic” and “Dr. Doom” characters interacted with each other.  So I made Mr. Stretch obsessed with Dr. Do and supremely arrogant, and generally a lot worse than him.  When you think about it “Dr. Doom” being obsessed with “Mr. Fantastic” is kinda silly.  The guy rules a country.  Weirdly enough with him being part of “The Illuminati”, “Marvel” had made “Mr. Fantastic” more like Mr. Stretch.

That’s it for this week. We start off next week with a new “The History Of Comics With Q-boy” where Q-boy along with The American World Protectors Of America help their teammate The Underwater Monarch with a problem.  Then Tuesday-Thursday new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations”.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!
