Looks like there’s a delay in Admiral Star joining The American World Protector Of America. This comic is referencing how “Batman” proposed to “Catwoman” not too long ago in the comics. I love making fun of how crazy and hypocritical their relationship is.

Maybe then being together could lead to some interesting stories. It seems it could lead some problems too. If they don’t pull the trigger and have them get married it would be really weak. If they do get married though I can’t see it lasting. Then you gotta have a divorce or something which seems to age them. Then you gotta have yet another reboot.

Who’s hyped for “The Defenders” coming out on Friday?

I can’t wait for it. I saw an early review of the first 4 episodes on CBR.com that said it starts slows but gets pretty good. There was also some complaining about “Iron Fist”. I didn’t hate “Iron Fist” nearly as much as many people did. His show was definitely the weak link of the “Marvel Netflix” shows, but I didn’t think it was THAT bad. Just from what I’ve seen in the trailers the characters interating and the fighting looks like it’ll be fun. Guess we’ll see on Friday…

Can any of you think of creative uses for “Kintoun/ The Flying Nimbus”?

If you don’t get what the fully ball is, this is referring to “Kintoun” or the “flying nimbus” that “Goku” rides on. It’s given to him by “Master Roshi” and only someone with a “pure heart” can ride on it. At one point in “Dragonball” is gets destroyed and “Goku” picks off a new one from this giant cloud.

Later “Goku” learns to fly on his own and “Kintoun/ The Flying Nimbus” only appears when “Goku” is forced by the plot to take a long time while his friends are getting murdered.

Do you think “Martain Manhunter” and or “Green Lantern”should be in the “Justice League” movie. Why or why not?

As implied by this comic to me it isn’t really the “Justice League” without them.

Last week focused on a story about the “Prehistoric Revenge Squad”. This was poking fun at the “Avengers 1,000,000 BC” team that suppose to part of “Marvel Legacy”. “DCComics” had a storyline about a future version of the “Justice League” from the 853rd century called “DC One Million”. This we these comics will be making fun of that along with the usual amount of whacked out distractions you’ve come to expect.

Getting “Meta” With “Batman”

One thing I get to in this comic is the idea that “Batman” is a “metahuman”. “Metahuman” for those of you not up on “DCComics” lingo is “people with powers”. It has something to do with “Hawkman” metal or something, but it doesn’t matter. What is with “DC” and undermining the entire point of their characters? If “Batman” has powers he’s not “Batman”. If he kinda sorta has powers then there’s no point in saying he does. If “Batman” murders people like in “BVS” he’s not “Batman”. While we’re at it:

  • If “Superman” is a guy who constantly scowls he’s not “Superman”
  • If “Barry Allen” is some young isolated weirdo he’s not “Barry Allen”
  • If “Aquaman”… Actually who cares. Though “hook hand” “Aquaman” kicked ass

One thing I didn’t mention that came out during “San Diego Comic” was the teaser for “Krypton”. Why is this happening? There’s something fundamental that people just aren’t getting. Story start at a certain point because that’s the part where it gets interesting. I got into this before with “Star Wars”. Does anyone really care what happened on “Krypton”? If they do, do they care enough to watch a whole series about it. Prequels are almost universally a bad idea. I can’t think of one good one.

Flashback stories can work if they help to inform what’s going on currently. Straight up prequels though? Nah! Plus it’s on “Syfy” channel and I can’t even remember the last time a good show was on there.

“All Eyez On Me” A 2pac Movie Crucified Much Like The Cover Of His Last Official Album

I’m as big a 2pac fan as any. So I went to see the biopic about him “All Eyez On Me” on Saturday. To say the least, this movie is getting A LOT of hate… I don’t get it. It’s pretty good. I’d give it a B. As a whole it is VERY accurate. There are tiny liberties taken for story reasons, but who doesn’t expect that?

Jada Smith is whining about some tiny things they changed in the movie. This is weird cuz’ her character has a kinda big part and she portrayed very well.

The biggest complaint you can give the movie is that there’s too much to cover. You could make entires series about several parts of his life. More stuff happens in the last 9 months of 2pac’s life than pretty much anyone. Bottom line, the movie gets SO much SO right.

  • Almost every major thing that happened to Pac gets covered
  • A lot of famous thing you saw him wear is in the movie

So yesterday I talked about having to do a lot of editing for the comic. This one was a LOT more. In fact as I write this I’m not even done yet.

“Wristcutters: A Love Story” is real a movie about a chick who commits suicide. She then ends up in a place that’s a little worse than here. I don’t remember much else about it. In real life I did get this movie while “picking the corspe” of a “Blockbuster” video that was closing. An old co-worker, Reagan Myers coined the term… Well as far as I know he did…

Tomorrow we switch gears as Admiral Lightning, Freedom Female, and Badassia are here. They talk about Freedom Female’s home the Isle Of Manless Maidens and Amish people. Also “Freedom Female: The Original World Protector” is comes out this weekend so that comes up.

This is yet another comic where I had to do a lot of editing. The first thing Spiderous-Man says is completely different from what I first wrote. In the middle of doing the word balloons for this comic I realized I needed to change what he said. J-Pop mentions “Talentless Americans Trying Get A Crappy Vegas Show”. If the title didn’t make it clear this is this world’s version of “America’s Got Talent”. I remembered that this show plays a part in the origin I wrote for “Spiderous-Man”. This is yet another story I want to tell at some point. With that established it would seem weird if he didn’t say something about that.

You also might’ve noticed that the some new fonts used for this comic. Over the last couple weeks I’ve searched through hundreds of fonts and downloaded a bunch. These should be “cleaner” and easier to read than the fonts I was using before. Hope you like em’?

I’ve been circling around this idea of Special-Girl and Slowku hanging out for a while. I felt as Trump’s Czar of Superpowered Bitches she need someone to play off. Also she’d want to fill someone’s head with pro-Trump nonsense. Slowku seemed like a good candidate. Another thing I wanted address was the rumor the The Minstrel is Kellyanne Conway. Now that Kellyanne isn’t a big media pressence anymore it would be less of a big deal.

Alright, let’s talk some X-men again. Over the weekend I checked out “X-men: Blue” 1. This one has the time displaced younger versions of the original “X-men”. I can’t deal with them in general. It makes no sense that time isn’t destroyed by this. For some reason young “Jean Grey” is the leader even though “Cyclops” is right there. I haven’t followed these character much. Now “Angel” has fire wings and “Beast” does magic or something… Okay…

Then the big reveal at the end is… Wait for it… They work for “Magneto”… Except “Magneto” has been apart of the “X-men” for like 10 years now. So what’s the big deal… But wait there’s more!

There was buzz that this was where they were going to bring back the real “Wolverine”. Yeah not so much. It’s “Ultimate Wolverine’s” son. Who sucks. Welp done with the comic.
