The History Of Comics With Q-boy #55 Fuck That! We Fin’ To Ride!

The History Of Comics With Q-boy #55 Fuck That! We Fin’ To Ride!

With this one I thought “what if a superhero team acted like a straight up gang?”.  For good measure I threw in a “Menace II Society” reference. Also in this one I introduce “The Spider” which is my version of “Cobra” from “G.I. Joe” only they’re not really that evil at all.  You’ll be seeing more of these guys over time. The panels of this comic are based on the work of Ramona Fradon.

That’s it for this one. Next time a man called “The Illusionist” is called in to solve a big problem. Check out new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations this Tuesday-Thursday.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Early on when coming up with these characters I thought it would be interesting to switch how the “Mr. Fantastic” and “Dr. Doom” characters interacted with each other.  So I made Mr. Stretch obsessed with Dr. Do and supremely arrogant, and generally a lot worse than him.  When you think about it “Dr. Doom” being obsessed with “Mr. Fantastic” is kinda silly.  The guy rules a country.  Weirdly enough with him being part of “The Illuminati”, “Marvel” had made “Mr. Fantastic” more like Mr. Stretch.

That’s it for this week. We start off next week with a new “The History Of Comics With Q-boy” where Q-boy along with The American World Protectors Of America help their teammate The Underwater Monarch with a problem.  Then Tuesday-Thursday new “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations”.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

The Innovator & Ms. Majors On People Who Can Predict The Future (Censored)

There’s several “Marvel” characters that have been able to predict the future so it’s really weird that this is the big thing that sets off “Civil War II”.  It’s also weird that a new character (one of those “Inhumans” that we all like better than “mutants”) was made up for this. What’s also weird is the major death in the first issue… (Spoiler Alert!)

So they supposedly killed off “War Machine” (“She-Hulk” also got hurt real bad too).  Since we saw what happened to “War Machine” in “Captain America: Civil War” its a strange choice to hit that same note so soon.  Death means nothing in comics so I guess it doesn’t really matter.

Tomorrow we end the week with The Innovator once again but this time along with his buddies from his secret group Headmaster Fresh, and Mr. Stretch to discuss predicting the future.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

This one is about “Civil War II”.  The big “Marvel” event going on now.  Looks like “Iron Man” and “Captain Marvel” are squaring off over whether to use or not use this new “Inhuman” (surprise!) who can predict the future to stop things before they happen.   Not hopeful about this but whatever.  Gotta say I haven’t really liked an event comic in a long while.

Tomorrow more with The Innovator and Ms. Majors as they talk more about people who can predict the future. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

It’s kinda weird how in “X-men: Apocalypse” there’s no mention that “Mystique” is “Nightcrawler’s” mom, especially when there’s all this stuff about “Quicksilver” being “Magneto’s” son.  It’s even weirder when “Nightcrawler’s” dad is clearly established in “X-men: First Class”.

Some other stuff hinted at in this comic is “Wolverine” killing his son “Daken” (who somehow came back and was re-killed by “Mystique” of all people) and his female clone “X-23” (who has taken the mantle of “Wolverine” since “Wolverine” is dead, although he supposedly appeared in an “Agents Of Shield” comic, and his older alternate reality counterpart “Old Man Logan” is running around).  Comics gotta love em’.

That’s it for this week. See ya next Tuesday-Thursday for more “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations”! Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

So in the comics “Rogue” and “Magneto” had this flirtation or something that never seemed to go anywhere after he saved her from a machine messing with he mind or something.  I don’t really remember. Then in the “Age Of Apocalyspe” they were married and somehow had a kid.  The Scarlet Witch at one point says “No More Mutants” and decimates the mutant population.  Fast forward a lot to after “Avengers VS X-men” and a team of  “X-men” and “Avengers” members is formed in “Uncanny Avengers” with “Rogue” and “Scarlet Witch”. “Rogue” naturally is hostile to “Scarlet Witch” as everyone should be sense she’s crazy and indecipherable powers she can barely control.  All of that is to say I thought it would be funny if “Rogue” went all “stepmom” on “Scarlet Witch”.

Tomorrow… Well the plan is a comic with my versions of Wolverine (Apex), Mystique (Facsimile), and Nightcrawler (Freak Creeper), but there’s a lot work I gotta do.  I’m pretty sure I can get it done though.  Hope you enjoy and see ya then!
