If you’ve been reading these comic for a while (and even more so if you follow me and Twitter and IG) you probably know I’m not a fan of “Agents Of Shield”.  Also as I said yesterday it really sucks they’re using “Ghost Rider” and not giving him a kickass “Netflix” show.  It truly sad because there’s no reason why the show should be as bad as it is. What it comes down to it the characters suck.  “Skye” (I’m never referring to her as “Daisy” or “Quake” because she was SUCH a bitch about her name) is pretty much unlikeable and what makes it worse is the plot CONSTANTLY basically screams “SHE’S IMPORTANT”. Every other character is varying ranges of dull, meh, or terrible. The only exception is “Simmons” who is decent.  They of course killed or got rid of every other okay to good character including:

  • “Grant Ward” – Easily the best character on the show and the only one who really acted like a spy (despite his TERRIBLE backstory). Naturally they end up killing and re-killing him
  • Deathlok – WHY DON’T THEY USE THIS GUY?!!! Literally one of the best characters from the very first episode, a genuine “Marvel” hero, and played by “Wheddon” show alum (as Charles Gunn on “Angel”) J. August Richards
  • The first black guy – I don’t remember his name (and I can’t even be bothered to look it up) and he wasn’t that great but he was WAY better than “Mac”. They killed this guy too
  • Hunter & Bobbi (Mockingbird) – Both okay characters. I know they got written off for a spinoff that didn’t work out, but yeah…

Oh I also make reference to an interview with Chloe Bennett (Skye) in this comic.  Even giving her the benefit of the doubt that she sorta joking the things she says about the “Marvel” movies acknowledging the show are crazy to me. You can check it out here https://qr.net/FQ4AtK

So how many of ya’ll been watching (or have a watched for you super binge watchers) “Luke Cage”? I’ve watched about half of it and it’s pretty damn good. “Marvel” and “Netflix” has done it again! One thing I really like about the “Marvel” “Netflix” shows is that each show feels completely different than the others. It’s damn shame we’re not getting a “Ghost Rider” show like this.  Instead he get’s to hang with “Skye” from “Agents Of Shield” while she been annoying.

Speaking of which, tomorrow Luscious Trapp returns with Blind Fury and we’re introduced to Hell’s Hunter. They’ll be talking about his character being on the show “Operatives Of A.R.M.O.R.”. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

Names can be hard to come up with.  Sometimes I find it to be the hardest part of making these comics.  So what I’m about to say isn’t being said without sympathy…

… In the comics “Iron Man” has this 15 year old black girl protege named “Riri Williams”.  It was looking like “Riri” was going to take “Iron Man’s” place after “Civil War II” possibly even using the name “Iron Man”.  Yesterday it was revealed she’ll be using name…. *drumroll* “Iron Heart”…..

“Iron Heart”?!  Really?! I mean “Iron Girl” or “Iron Woman” aren’t great but “IRON HEART”?!

Maybe I’m missing something or it’s just me, but I’m not feeling that name at all. Anyone feel the same? Different?

Can “Wonder Woman” break “DC’s” streak of bad movies? It’s possible. The trailer was pretty good. The only thing is there’s still no clear villain.  I see this as a bad sign.  This seems to indicate there’s either no real villain or the villain sucks.  This is a tough area for “Wonder Woman” as she only has 2 villains that a decent amount of people would know.  That’s “Cheetah” and “Giganta”.

On top of that you gotta fit whatever you plan to do around World War I. Having the movie take place during World War I as opposed to World War II where “Wonder Woman” actually debuted in  the comics is a decision I find particularly strange.  The only reason I can think of for doing it is to avoid comparisons to “Captain America”. Those comparisons to are unavoidable. It’s already noted that both feature soldier’s named “Steve” played by a guy named “Chris”.

I guess only time will tell… Tomorrow The Minstrel and Q-boy return to talk about school along with Slowku. Hope you emjoy and see ya then!

Can “Wonder Woman” break “DC’s” streak of bad movies? It’s possible. The trailer was pretty good. Before we get to this comic, looks like early reviews for “Suicide Squad” are coming in and it’s not looking good.  “Comic Book Resources” gave it a pretty good review though.  As I’ve said before I only think it’s going to be okay. We’ll see in a week though…

Anyways back to “Civil War II”. (SPOILERS for “Civil War II” #4)

There’s this whole part where “Iron Man” is going on and on about how he doesn’t want to fight but the “evidence” is “forcing his hand”…. Except the evidence shows the guy who can predict the future has always been right, and “Captain Marvel” used his info to save tons of lives. Even the lady “Captain Marvel” detained hasn’t been proven innocent (though it’s still stupid she did it. Seriously they don’t have other people to take care of stuff like that?). Nothing about the situation has forced “Iron Man’s” hand. That’s makes this whole series feel more and more like pointlessly going through the motions til’ we get to “Marvel’s” new status quo.

Tomorrow we check in with Spiderous-Man has he discusses his uncle and picking sides in a fight. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

As this comic might suggest “Civil War II” #4 pushed me to really disliking “Civil War II”.   The argument makes no sense;”Ironman’s” position makes no sense; and good characters are being killed for no reason.

(SPOILER ALERT for “Civil War” #4)

So “Iron Man” discovers that this kid that can predict the future can only see the most probable future (which I could’ve swore he already found out last issue) and somehow that’s suppose to change everything. So “Iron Man” assembles the “Illuminati” to tell them this, and they’re basically useless and say little more than “I dunno”. Then dumb stuff happens and it’s finally a face off with “Iron Man” and his heroes vs “Captain Marvel” and her heroes… Except “Captain Marvel” calls in the “The Guardians Of The Galaxy”… I don’t buy it… Even if some tie-in comic explains it better I still don’t buy it… People traveling from space to be a part of this dumb fight breaks my suspension of disbelief.
