So for those of you saying “give a Trump a chance” it’s now been a few days and he’s basically stopped the EPA from doing or saying anything, approved pipelines, and blamed millions of illegal immigrants voting for his losing the popular vote. Meanwhile they’re trying to get rid of all the almost universally approved of things in the Affordable Care Act. Is this enough of a chance yet?

So this comic is basically making fun of the early episodes of “Arrow” where Ollie was pretty much just a guy with a list who straight up murdered people with arrows.  The show became better as a whole, but it was kinda great in an insane way. Ollie would get his “Ninja Warrior” on doing that salmon latter thing and then go out a murder people who have “failed the city”. It actually sounds more like a “Batman” villain then any type of hero. Still, good times…

That’s it for this week. There will be new Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations next Tuesday-Thursday with Wednesday being the anniversary of the start of this whole comic with hourly comic day. To quickly explain hourly comic day is described by knowyourmeme.com as “an annual event that takes place on February 1st where participants draw one short comic for every hour that they awake”.

Last year I launched this comic on this day with a comic every hour from 12AM to 12AM the next day, and I’m going for it again this year. To be clear, traditionally people do their comics on the day and I certainly didn’t and am not doing that this year. These comic were and will be made in advance. So far I’ve written about 2/3 of it, and already its pretty nuts! Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

All the protesting against Trump gives me hope. Maybe we’re not doomed. Maybe most people aren’t falling for this. All of this might be too late, but maybe not.

As I write this the comic isn’t done yet. This is one of the rare ones where I actually added more words than I originally planned. This one is so random and all over the place I tried to make sure I explained things pretty well.

So I watched the last episode of “Supergirl”, the much hyped “Supergirl Lives” directed by Kevin Smith. Someday I have get into a long post about Kev, but that’s definitely for another day. Will always love his early movies though. Anyways for episode with that title you’d expect something BIG to happen.  Yeah not so much. This episodes has the same problems the rest of this season has which are:

  • Wynn sucks. He really takes to another level in this one. Dude’s dead weight, cut him
  • Jimmy Olsen being “Guardian” is stupid
  • Jimmy hiding being “Guardian” from “Supergirl” is even stupider
  • Weak villains

Tomorrow Special-Girl and Luscious are swapped out for White Swallow and Jade Archer as they talk about “policital activism”. Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

The 3rd One: A Vaguely Defined Q-boy Holiday Special

The main thing with this one is I wanted to draw some action and I wanted to show some of the characters you may have seen in “Criminal And Crimefighter Conversations” in action. The original idea was Q-boy talking to Special-Girl but as this comic points out that is pretty similar to the first holiday special. So I watched an IG story by this comic’s special guest Zee Bee aka @thegoofyartist where she talked about holding a door for this girl and the girl not saying thank you. For some reason that made the whole story click for me.  So I wrote this up and messaged Zee about it, and she gave me the okay to do it which was very cool of her. Cuz’ I couldn’t blame her at all it she was was like “no *block*”.

Speaking of her, let me properly introduce our special guest. Zee is someone whose work I ran into on “Twitter” a few years ago. She had a cool art style and she seems to have the same weird attention span problem that had her doing multiple webcomics like I do. Fast forward a few years and she likes I few of my pics on IG and I’m like “oh this chick, yeah I’ll follow her”. From following her on IG I find that she’s become this coloring/ animation master. She’s also pretty funny (the holidayclapbacks are always good for a laugh) and has a good taste in shows (“Dragonball”, “Simpson”, “Archer”, etc.). Mainly though she just has this slightly manic happy exuberant energy.  She does do the dog filter thing though… I don’t think girls her age can help it though.  Again thanks Zee, this holiday special doesn’t exist without you.

As for the moral of this story, do the right thing because it makes you feel good or because is makes logical sense.If we all do that 2017 will be better than last year. Let’s try to make it good one! Hope you enjoy and see ya then!

I don’t think there’s much to explain with this one so let’s get into an unrelated comic that came out last week.

Inhuman VS X-men 0 – If you read “Death Of X” (which literally just ended the previous week) you’re gonna be like “we just did this”. Long story short “Emma Frost” has some plan to get back at the “Inhumans” after the death of “Cyclops” in “Death Of X” and is training to be able to turn into her diamond form faster and faster. Also “Beast” is working on some cure for the “terrigen” cloud that creates more “Inhumans” that’s killing mutants. He’s all smiling and excited about it even though his race is on the verge of extinction yet again and one of his closest friends just died. Honestly my only explanation for this was an art screw up where “Beast” is  smiling when he shouldn’t have been and they tried to write around it. This is probably going to be painful…

I’m very tired so I’m going to try and keep this short. There’s been a lot of talk about what Hilary or the Democratic party did wrong during this election.  I think this is a mistake. As I mentioned before I think this is more about “the cycle” where every 8 years we switch from one party to the opposite. Simply put, when we come out and vote we win. When we don’t we don’t.

“Caitlin Snow” becoming “Killer Frost” so far is the saving grace of this season of “The Flash”.  Everything with “Wally” is stupid and annoying; the new version of “Wells” sucks; and there’s way too many speedsters now. I think part of the problem is that the show lost it’s point. Originally, the show was the lighter and more superpower-based part of the “DC Comics” “CW” shows. Now “Supergirl” and “Legends Of Tomorrow” have taken those roles.

In last night’s episode of “The Flash” “Killer Frost” acts as the “Dark Willow” from “Buffy” of the show by cutting through the crap and saying some really real stuff to “Barry”.  To be clear though, “Dark Willow” is much harsher/better. The part she calls out “Dawn’s” constant whining is the best.

I was going to get into this yesterday but I decided against it, but it’s become clear that people have some really weird ideas about voting. They vote to “send a message”. An example is this guy that works on “The Howard Stern Show” was for Hilary, but voted for Trump to “send her a message” that she doesn’t have a mandate… Let that sink in…

There are exactly 2 messages you can send with voting

Voting for your party’s nominee = I want the things I value/need to be protected, and I want someone to fight to try and get the things I want in the future

Doing anything besides voting for your party’s nominee (including not voting or voting 3rd party) = I don’t want the things I value/need to be protected, and I want the opposite of the things I want in the future

That’s it. Unlike an “SNL” sketch I’ll keep this short and sweet. Well as sweet as the medicine-like taste of a civics lesson can be.
